Our Story

Built because nobody handed us a guide.

When I started trading, I figured it out the hard way. Twelve tabs open at the same time. Three different tools, each showing a piece of the picture. Discord servers I checked every morning for signals that were already stale. Twitter threads that contradicted each other by noon. Nobody tells you where the real data is — you just stumble into it, slowly, over months.

The frustrating part wasn't that the data didn't exist. It did. Insider filings, whale moves, options flow, macro calendar, sentiment data — all of it was out there. It just wasn't built for you. It was for funds, for institutional desks, for people with Bloomberg terminals and a team around them. If you were a retail trader working alone, you got the scraps.

ChartReader started as a personal fix. One place that pulls everything together — not a dumbed-down version of what the pros use, but the actual inputs, built to work for one person at a screen. That's still what it is.

Mission

The data the pros use,
for the trader working alone.

Not a simplified version. Not a 15-minute delayed feed with a free tier. The actual inputs — insider moves, whale flows, macro data, AI analysis — structured so one person can act on them without a research team behind them.

Vision

Where your tools stop
being the disadvantage.

The goal is simple: a trader using ChartReader should have no excuse to say they didn't have the information. The edge you build from there — that's yours. We just make sure the inputs aren't the weak link.

What we believe

The principles behind every decision we make.

Good data shouldn't cost $2,000/month

Bloomberg exists. We know. But most traders aren't running a desk — they're one person trying to make good decisions. The data they need shouldn't require a corporate budget.

If you need a manual to use it, it's broken

We've used tools that took two hours to set up and still didn't show what we needed. Everything here is built around one question: does this actually help you make a decision faster?

We show you the data. You make the call.

We don't tell you what to buy or sell. We give you insider moves, whale flows, macro context, and AI analysis — then we get out of the way. The trade is yours.

One place, not ten tabs

At some point you're spending more time managing your research setup than actually trading. We built ChartReader because that shouldn't be the job.

We're still building. Mobile app is live, dashboard is running, terminal is available now on Mac, Windows and Linux. If you trade seriously and you're tired of piecing it together yourself — you'll feel at home here.
