This explains what ChartReader collects when you register for free access, why, and what you can ask us to do about it. The data controller is AQT Quant Systems, which operates chartread3r.com.
The short version. We ask for your name and email so we can open your access and tell you when new tools ship. We don't sell your data, we don't run advertising trackers, and you can have your record deleted by sending one email.
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| First and last name | To know who has access and to address you in emails. |
| Email address | Your access identifier, and how we send new tools and major updates. |
| Consent timestamp | Proof of when you accepted the Terms and this policy. |
| Hashed IP address | A one-way salted hash used only to block bulk fake registrations. We do not store your raw IP with your registration. |
| Browser user-agent, referring page | To understand which browsers and channels traffic comes from. |
| Anonymous page and click counters | Totals only — number of visits and which tools get opened. Not linked to you. |
We do not collect payment details (the Service is free), and we do not ask for exchange API keys or trading credentials on this site.
We process your registration on the basis of your consent, given by ticking the box on the registration form (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Abuse prevention relies on our legitimate interest in keeping the Service usable (Art. 6(1)(f)). You can withdraw consent at any time; withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before that point.
Your data sits with the providers that run the Service, acting as processors on our instructions:
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. We disclose data only where the law requires it.
ChartReader sets no advertising or profiling cookies. The site stores a small entry in your browser's local storage to remember that you registered, so you don't see the form again, plus a session entry so a visit is counted once. This stays in your browser — clearing site data removes it. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address as part of serving that request.
Your registration is kept for as long as the Service runs or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first. Abuse-prevention counters expire automatically within minutes. Aggregate counters contain no personal data and are kept indefinitely.
Under the GDPR you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to processing, or transfer it elsewhere. Write to privacy@chartread3r.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you think we've handled your data badly, you can complain to your national supervisory authority — in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing stops the emails; ask us to delete your record if you also want the registration removed.
Data travels over HTTPS and is stored with access restricted to a server-side key that is never exposed in the browser. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep the amount of data we hold deliberately small.
The Service is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors; if we learn we have, we delete it.
If this policy changes, the “last updated” date above changes with it, and material changes will be signalled on the site.
